Privacy Policy
Last updated September 2026
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes the information practices of CallyList LLC ("we," "us," or "our") with respect to the CallyList mobile application and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Policy explains what personal information we collect, the purposes for which we use it, with whom we share it, and the rights available to you regarding your personal information. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you register or authenticate through Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, we receive and store your name, email address, and a stable account identifier issued by the respective identity provider. This information is used solely to establish and maintain your account and to synchronize your subscription status across your devices.
1.2 Calendar and Event Data
To provide the core functionality of the Service, we store the events, tasks, reminders, titles, descriptions, dates, times, locations, and related preferences that you create or manage within the app. This content is stored locally on your device and synchronized to your private iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. We do not store or access your calendar content on our own servers in the ordinary course of providing the Service.
1.3 Purchase and Subscription Data
If you purchase a paid CallyList subscription, the transaction is processed through Apple's App Store using Apple's StoreKit framework and RevenueCat's subscription management platform. We receive and retain subscription status, entitlement identifiers, and transaction-related metadata sufficient to verify your subscription and facilitate purchase restoration. Payment card details are processed exclusively by Apple and are not accessible to us.
1.4 Translation Content
On supported iPhone and iPad devices, CallyList uses Apple’s Translation framework to translate event titles, locations, notes, and to-do text. Translation is processed on your device after any required Apple language model has been downloaded. CallyList does not send calendar or to-do content to its servers or to a third-party AI translation provider for translation. Apple Translate is not currently available in the Mac version of CallyList.
1.5 Calendar Search Queries
If you use public calendar search, the search terms you enter are sent through CallyList’s Cloudflare Worker to Perplexity to identify matching publicly available calendar feeds. Existing calendar events, notes, locations, and to-do content are not included in these requests.
1.6 Image Data
You may choose to attach an image to a calendar event by selecting a photo from your device's photo library. Image selection is performed locally on your device. Selected image data is stored as part of the event record and synchronized to your private iCloud account via CloudKit. Image data is not transmitted to our servers.
1.7 Diagnostic and Usage Data
Usage analytics are optional and disabled by default. If you enable Usage Analytics in CallyList Settings, the app sends product-interaction and limited crash and performance diagnostic signals to TelemetryDeck to help us understand feature adoption, stability, and performance. These signals use a pseudonymous device identifier and do not contain your name, email address, account credentials, calendar events, to-do items, notes, locations, or other calendar content. You may withdraw consent at any time by turning off Usage Analytics in Settings. Turning analytics off stops future analytics collection by CallyList. We do not use analytics information for advertising or cross-app tracking.
1.8 Location Data
If you enable weather, CallyList uses your device’s location while the app is in use to request a local forecast from Apple WeatherKit. CallyList does not store your location on its servers or link it to your CallyList account. Apple processes WeatherKit requests under Apple’s applicable privacy terms.
1.9 On-Device-Only Features (Face ID and Voice Dictation)
CallyList offers optional Face ID app lock and voice dictation for event titles and to-do items. Both are processed entirely on your device through Apple's system frameworks — CallyList never receives, stores, or transmits any biometric data or audio recording, and no data from these features leaves your device.
1.10 Notifications and CloudKit Updates
CallyList uses local notifications, scheduled entirely on your device, to remind you of upcoming events. Separately, the app registers for Apple's silent push notifications solely so CloudKit can promptly deliver calendar updates across your devices — we do not send promotional or marketing push notifications, and this registration does not give us access to your device's push token or any way to contact you directly.
1.11 Local Backup Data
To help protect against data loss, CallyList periodically saves a backup copy of your events and to-dos directly on your device. This backup never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third party.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to provide and maintain CallyList; authenticate your account; synchronize eligible data through Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit infrastructure; verify and restore subscriptions; provide on-device translation through Apple Translate; return matching public calendar feeds when you submit a search; provide weather through Apple WeatherKit; process optional analytics only when enabled; and communicate material service or policy updates when necessary.
3. Data Storage, Security, and International Transfers
Calendar content is stored on your device and, where applicable, synchronized through your private iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit infrastructure. CallyList’s Cloudflare Worker processes authentication, account-management requests, subscription verification, and public-calendar searches. It does not receive calendar or to-do content for translation. Optional analytics, subscription information, authentication information, and public-calendar search queries may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions by the providers identified below.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We engage the following third-party service providers, each of which may process personal information in accordance with its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review those policies.
4.1 Apple
(CloudKit, Sign in with Apple, StoreKit/App Store, Apple Translate, WeatherKit, On-device speech recognition) Apple provides the infrastructure for iCloud synchronization, user authentication, and in-app purchases.
Apple Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
4.2 Google
(Google Sign-In) Google provides optional authentication through Google Sign-In. CallyList does not send calendar content to Google for translation.
Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
4.3 RevenueCat
(subscription management and purchase restoration) RevenueCat processes subscription status, entitlement information, purchase history, and a stable CallyList account identifier on our behalf so that CallyList can verify subscriptions and restore purchases across devices. RevenueCat is used as subscription infrastructure, not as optional product analytics. Payment card information is processed by Apple and is not accessible to CallyList. CallyList does not forward RevenueCat subscription events to TelemetryDeck.
RevenueCat Privacy Policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
4.4 TelemetryDeck - Optional Product Analytics and Diagnostics
(product analytics) TelemetryDeck provides optional product analytics and diagnostics. CallyList sends signals to TelemetryDeck only when the user has enabled Usage Analytics in the app. TelemetryDeck is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. CallyList does not include calendar content, to-do content, notes, locations, search queries, names, email addresses, or account credentials in analytics signals.
TelemetryDeck Privacy Policy: https://telemetrydeck.com/privacy/
4.5 Perplexity
(public calendar search) Perplexity receives your search queries when you use the public calendar search feature to identify matching calendar feeds. No calendar event content is included in these requests.
Perplexity Privacy Policy: https://www.perplexity.ai/privacy
4.6 Cloudflare
(proxy infrastructure) Cloudflare provides proxy infrastructure for authentication, account management, subscription verification, and public-calendar search. Translation content is not sent through Cloudflare.
Cloudflare Privacy Policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and subscription information while your account is active and for any additional period required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or enforce our agreements. Calendar content synchronized through iCloud remains subject to your settings and Apple’s retention practices. Analytics signals sent while Usage Analytics was enabled may be retained by TelemetryDeck according to its retention practices. Turning analytics off stops future analytics collection by CallyList but does not retroactively remove aggregated information already processed.
When you delete your CallyList account, the app deletes CallyList-managed server session and usage records, local CallyList events and to-do data, translation caches, widget data, local backups, and app settings. It also attempts to remove associated CallyList data from your private CloudKit database. Events stored in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or another external calendar provider are not deleted because those events remain controlled by that provider. Purchase records may remain with Apple or RevenueCat as required for transaction history, subscription management, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing.
You can delete your CallyList account and CallyList-managed data directly in the app by opening CallyList Settings and selecting Delete Account at the bottom of the screen. Account deletion removes CallyList-managed account sessions and app data as described in Section 5. It does not delete events stored in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or another external calendar provider, and it does not cancel an App Store subscription. Subscriptions must be managed separately through Apple’s subscription settings.
You can withdraw consent for optional product analytics at any time by opening CallyList Settings → Security & Privacy and turning off Usage Analytics.
For privacy questions or assistance using these controls, contact us at support@callylist.com. We may be unable to act on account data unless we can appropriately verify the request.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take prompt steps to delete it. If you have reason to believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@callylist.com and we will investigate and address the matter promptly.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, applicable law, or the features of the Service. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the Service. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of an updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
